5th grade Gifted - Tallahassee Field Study

On Friday, November 2nd, we will travel to Tallahassee, Florida.  Parents must provide transportation to and from Chimney Lakes Elementary. If chaperoning, parents will need to provide transportation to Tallahassee.

You need to be there no later than 6:15 am.

Parents are to pick up their student at 6:30 pm at Chimney Lakes in the car rider zone. Students must bring a bag lunch. On the way back, we will be stopping at a fast food restaurant for dinner, so they will need to have money as well.

There will be no electronic equipment allowed, such as iPods, tablets, etc., candy/gum, food or drink.  However, you may bring blankets, pillows, books, paper/pencils, crossword puzzles and cell phones (kept in backpack or pocket) are allowed.

Itinerary:
6:15 am - Arrive Chimney Lakes - Eat breakfast at home – NO school breakfast will be provided
8:00 am - Rest area break – we will provide a snack.  Students WILL NOT use the vending machines.
10:00-11:30 am – Supreme Court Mock Trial
12:00-1:00 pm – Lunch
1:00-2:00 pm – Historic Capitol Guided Tour
2:00-3:00 pm – New Capitol Guided Tour
3:00-4:00 pm – Florida Museum of History (Self-Guided Tour)
5:00 pm - Dinner at fast food restaurant (bring money)
6:30-7:00 pm - Return to Chimney Lakes
